How to speed up or slow down audio
Speed adjustment is useful for lectures, podcasts and listening practice. In the Speed tab, choose 0.5× to 2×: 1× is the original tempo, 0.5× is half speed and 2× is double speed.

Will the pitch change?
With pitch preservation enabled, the editor changes tempo while aiming to keep the original pitch. If you disable it, speeding up raises the pitch and slowing down lowers it. Large tempo changes may produce audible processing artifacts.
Example: slow music down to 0.75×
Upload a recording and select a difficult passage if needed. In the Speed tab, set 0.75× and keep Preserve pitch enabled; this setting also applies to music. The tempo will slow down while the editor aims to retain the pitch of the notes. With other settings unchanged, 30 seconds of source audio becomes about 40 seconds. Listen to After changes and download a version for practice. The available range is 0.5× to 2×.
How long will the result be?
With other settings unchanged, a one-minute recording lasts about 40 seconds at 1.5× and about two minutes at 0.5×. Preview a challenging speech section using Edited. If the words become hard to follow, reduce the speed before downloading.
